My family and me would like to wish you all a:

And to end this year, a special figure. This figure was a gift at the meeting in Kampen 2010. It was sculpted by Alex who mostly sculpts the figures for Valdemar.

This is my 50th post, so cheers to you all!

As background I used a holliday picture, from Bavaria!

Hope you like him!

Ladies and Gentlemen, dear visitors of my blog, first of all my family and me would like to yo wish you all a:

Merry Christmas!

Today's post, how could it be something else, is Christmas related. This is an other part of the Ykreol/Odemars set: The Nativity.

I hope you like it!

This picture gave me the victory in the 27th Painting Competion on Benno's Figures Forum. My reward was a "Golden Brush". And it was a very nice late Christmas gift from the members of the forum. Thanks for that!

Will this come to a good end????

A disaster! I'm shocked! The following pictures are taken in the Finnish woods. As you all know the living place of good old Santa. I've seen him there. But never in that condition! And that only a few days before Christmas. Will this come to a good end?

In what condition he was, you ask? Well he was drunk!

DRUNK, SIR!

Can you believe that? Children and adults all over the world are waiting for their Christmas gifts, and the good old man is drunk. Can you imagen, no underwear this year? Oeps, I mean stuff for modelling :-D under the Christmastree! And all my Blogger friends that don't get what they have written on their wish list? Nothing, nada.... It will be a poor Christmas :-(

I really hope this will come to a good end! But decide for yourself, just have a look at the pictures, then you will understand what I mean.

Took this from a distance! I was a bit scared
from Santa.

The closer I get, the more I can see he's drunk!

There he was with a bottle in his hand!

And this is what I heard: HoHikHo Merry Hikmas!

Well, as you can see nothing is true. Just a figure I've painted for a duel with Paul from Paul's Bods. And it was fun then, and it is now! You can see the duel here.

The figure is from this set but bought in a Ykreol box.

Hope you like him!

Merry Christmas to you all!!!!!

Hat French Light Ambulance

This is something I've painted ages ago (in fact a couple of years, but those ages sounds better :-D) It was fun assembling this set. I've painted it with acrylic Revell and Games workshop paints. The wood is something painted by myself, because not visible on the mold.

The rider is painted in the colors of a "Stretcher bearer", witch I found in the book "1815 The armies at Waterloo" from Ugo Pericoli.

A review of the set can be found here

PS: and I keep it peacefull again :-D

And now some pictures.

As you can see here, not my best work!
Hope you like them!

Diligence driver

Again a non violence figure. In fact it's the time of the year for this kind of figures with Christmas coming near.

This is a metal figure of "Own Factory". Sorry but I can't give a link to this manufacturer, because I doubt if they still exist. If someone has information about them, just let me know. Then I still can up the link.

It was also my contribution in the 18th Painting Competition on Benno's Figures Forum.

The figure is painted with acrylic paints. the base is made of styrofoam, wich I tried to look like a street with paving-stones. It didn't come out well. I also didn't want to paint it in the usual grey colors these men normally wear. That's why I used this greyish blue.

Enjoy the pictures!

Hope you like them!

Somewhere in Tunis!

This "autocanone" is something I made for the 28th painting competition on Benno's Figures Forum. The set was a gift from my wife for my birthday! Thank you dear!

Normally I don't do WWII figures or sets but this one I couldn't resist assembling and so it went in for that competition. But round two was the end.

It's a set from Italeri and it comes with a crew of eight men. Painted with acrylics.

Well here are the pictures, enjoy them.

I hope you like them!

Not a rainy day!

Time to post something new here. This time it's a rider from the Waterloo1815 Napoleonic Mounted Line Officers. I loved this rider from the beginning I saw him. Also he was suiteble for a not war scene.

This figure shows Lieutenant-General Sir Thomas_Picton (wiki link) just taking a ride on the countryside with a nice rainbow in the background. It's a bit of showing that not every military figure has to be used on the battlefield. Even when he died dressed like this on the battlefield of Waterloo.

It's a very nice set with good sculpted figures, with some nice details. I painted him with acrylic paints.

Some more pictures.

I hope you like him!

CRISIS 2011

As every year, since 2009, I visited the wargaming convention CRISIS in Antwerp Belgium. It was a great day and it was fun meeting some friends again. Minor point, it was very hot in that place.

So with some delay because of some technical problems and family matters, I show you my pictures!

Enjoy them!
